• ‘Cheers’ to the Borders Show
This year’s Borders Classic Bike Show will take place at Lacon Childe School, Cleo Mortimer, Shrops on September 14-15.
All of the monies raised at the show will be given to local community charities.
A special beer has been brewed by Hobson’s Brewery (www.hobsons-brewery.co.uk or 01299 270837) in honour of Jim Reynolds, for years the driving force behind the show and still compere. The ale Uncle Jim is on sale up to the festival.

• Fluff Brown
Well-known classic enthusiast, dealer and competitor Fluff Brown, best known for his association with Cotton and AJS two-strokes, passed away on July 4, aged 82. Condolences are expressed to his family.
• Fenman Classic
To be held on August 26, at Wimbotsham, Norfolk, this is the 25th running. Admission is £3.
