Well, it transpired his Manx had quite a story, being used by Ernie Washer, winner of the 1958 Manx GP ‘double.’
So, last year at the Manx GP Ernie and Gerard arranged to meet up, with arch Norton enthusiast Gerard delighted to find out his Manx had such a rich history, and Ernie chuffed to see his old Norton. A happy ending all round.
