The Pevensey Levels are a delightfully hidden bit of Sussex countryside, mostly flat, and great for the elderly veteran machines.

The main route covered roads which were undoubtedly used by Ixion when vicar at St Barnabas Church, while road testing yet another new machine for The Motor Cycle.

There were nine veterans and 27 vintage machines, and 18 post vintage (to 1939) machines. The riders voted Henry Brooks’ 1899 De Dion Bouton their favourite (Ixion Cup) and visitors voted Mark Diplock’s 1927 350cc Sunbeam as their choice (Basil H Davies Vase).
