With plenty of overseas interest, and some good prices realised on spares, the recent Dee, Atkinson and Harrison sale at Sledmere House in East Yorkshire was an outstanding success.
New homes were found for 98% of the lots as a house record of ยฃ460,000, including buyerโs premium was reached.
The sale included the Mike Hanson Collection of veteran and vintage spares and motorcycles. The 300-odd lots of spares realised some ยฃ70,000, led by two pairs of Vincent Brampton girder forks at ยฃ3000 and ยฃ2800. His most expensive bike was a 1927 Sunbeam Model 9 at ยฃ19,550 (to Hungary) followed by a 1930 Velocette KTP at ยฃ9775.
