Description
1933 490cc 16H Norton
A direct lineal descendant of one of the outstanding machines of a decade ago, the 1933 16H Norton proves a particularly interesting mount, in an era when side value machines are very much in the minority. Its all-round performance would come as a real surprise to many owners of overhead-valve machines. The machine tested was standard but for the addition of a positive foot-operated gear control and had run less than a hundred miles. All Norton engines are, however, taken down for high-spot removal before delivery, so the machine was immediately given hard work.
