โHe would have loved it. Daveโs family, friends and I are really touched.
โLove to you all, be safe.โ
The ride, organised by Biker Escorts East Yorkshire, began in Beverley Market Place in Yorkshire before moving through various north Yorkshire towns including Scagglethorpe and Pickering.
After two and half hours, the route ended in the seaside town of Scarborough in the afternoon.
3,000 bikers had been expected, but around double that showed up, with some travelling from as far as Scotland and Wales.
Sean Martin, from Bikers Escorts East Yorkshire, said: โWe just wanted to say thank you for everything he’s done, as a ambassador for motorcyclists up and down the country.
โThey’ve been really good to the motorcycle community, so it’s our way of saying thank you to him.”
